Education

Fresh FM Podcasts Now Online

Fresh FM is airing a series on Transition Towns fortnightly. The first two segments have aired. Each segment is 15 minutes long, and discusses a topic relevant to TT. With these shows, we are creating, in effect, an audio Transition Towns primer.

Transition Town podcasts are now online at:

Mentors Needed to Spread Skills

Become a mentor to a young person spending 2-3 hours per week fishing, baking, crafts, etc.  All training and support given.  Contact Pamela Hedlund, Motueka Mentoring Programme, 528-6969.

Ad copied from the Motueka-Golden Bay News.  It looks like a brilliant way to pass on important skills needed to relocalise the economy and be more self-sufficient.  Add canning, gardening, bike repair, and knitting to possible skills to share.

Adult Community Education venue for workshops

Through Motueka High School, ACE Community Group Funding is available for workshops. As a community group, we may qualify.  The workshop may have one or several tutors and have a fee or not.
