Population Growth

If you can view this in full screen mode it's impact will be all the greater. However, either way it is hard not to watch this and realise that the logic of comparing humanity to yeast in a petri dish, is not unreasonable.

What an extraordinary time we live in. We are now on that very steep section of the exponential curve of population growth. At a shade over 50 years, the population when I was born was less than half what it is today.

Two things come to mind. 1) this population growth is unsustainable and 2) we need to quickly reduce the footprint of those of us already here, if there is to be a future for those of us who still have a few years left on this planet, and for those who follow.
