How I fell in love with a fish (Dan Barber)

Near the end of this talk Dan Barber points out the absurdities of our current globalised food system, and asks how can we create conditions to enable every community to feed itself?
He points out that the current agri-business model is old and it's tired. It's high on capital, chemical and machines, and it's never produced anything really good to eat.
Chef Dan Barber squares off with a dilemma facing many chefs today: how to keep fish on the menu. With impeccable research and deadpan humor, he chronicles his pursuit of a sustainable fish.
Before he gets there he makes it very clear what is wrong with our current approach, and asks questions like "what the heck is sustainable about feeding chickens to fish?" yes, you have to watch this one, if you want a laugh and an education.
Then he describes a visionary ecological-thinking development in the South of Spain where a 27,000 acre fish farm has been created, by reversing some degraded and drained wetlands, in which they don't 'feed' the fish! On top of that it's become one of the largest and most important bird sanctuaries in all of Europe. And it doesn't end there, there's more benefits to this integrated diverse system.
It's all about relationships.
