Food For Thought
One area that will need a complete re-think is the Food Bank as it is currently currently operated by Budget Services, Church Groups, and charities. Sufficient food supplies should not be left to the charity of individuals, but should be built into the system.
Our whole set up, making the provision of extra food a charity and not part of the recirculating of resources is fundamentally dysfunctionally. Like the circuation of the body; if the exhale became jealous of the inhale or vice versa and kept it from circulating in the system, it would die.
Food banks are a symptom of disease...they show where government/economy is not working- they identify a weak spot in planning- someone has to pick up the slack, that can either be done efficiently or it can be done poorly. Our current dependence on food drives to make up for a weakness in the healthy circulating food supply will not be sustainable as demand inceases and supply lessens, this is on the near horizon.

yes i agree with the food shortages however there is hope
G day its all very well saying build it into the system however what system?? please i think we should leave it to individuals working in groups or co ops. I like the idea of a global market but its not a good model really. It is to energy thirsty. That energy consumption is crippling our environment and the health and the well being of all life as we know it.
Hemp and plants with similar uses are what we need to grow and as much of i as we can. Hemp is the poor mans plant it has traveled with Man for 10,000 years and saved our skin in times of trouble many times. Now the time of big banks and capitalism is coming under increasing pressure it is time for hemp to take its place once more. We will feed cloth shelter heal not only human life but bird many animals and fish will all heal within a few short years.
we are doing it and seeking others to join us.
