Guy McPherson in Lower Hutt

Visit by Prof Guy McPherson

We are very fortunate to have an evening organised with Prof. Guy McPherson.

Guy McPherson is is an emeritus professor at the University of Arizona School of Natural Resources, but he gave up his university post on ethical grounds to devote himself to building a Lifeboat and lecturing/educating on the collapse that faces us and is one of the key people in the Peak Oil and the Transition/Lifeboat movement.

He will be talking at the Petone Community Library on Friday, 6 July, 7.30 pm on transitioning in the light of climate change and Peak Oil. He will also have much to say about how we as communities are to respond to these challenges and transition to a Post-Carbon world.

This event is being organised by Lower Hutt Transition Towns but is open to interested parties in the Wellington area. Space is limited so you may want to turn up early.

A small video segment on Guy and a film that is being made, Somewhere In New Mexico Before the End Of Time is available HERE.

Talk: "Transitioning in the Light of Climate Change and Peak Oil"

Venue: Community Board Room, Petone Community Library, 7/11 Britannia Street, Petone
