Storytelling Workshop with Sue Berman
10 Nov 2012 10:00
10 Nov 2012 14:30
(RSVP pamela@ecomatters.org.nz)
Greater Glen Eden is kicking off a community visioning project in the form of story gathering that may be shared in a number of different ways such as posters, booklet, videos and online. It’s an opportunity to look at what’s special about Glen Eden, who helps make Glen Eden a great place, and what would make Glen Eden an even better place? The stories will be gathered by community volunteers hence a community project in the true sense (not someone else recording our stories). On that note are any of you interested in being story gatherers? It’ll be a good chance to get some great stories and community aspirations (you could even interview a GETT person!). There will be a workshop for Story Gatherers as noted above. The workshop will be facilitated by Sue Berman who is an Oral Historian for Auckland Libraries based at the West Auckland Research Centre as well as the President of the Oral Historians Society. This will be a great workshop to attend and I really recommend it for some of our people. This project is a great way to get our aspirations for Glen Eden out there!
Location / Venue:
Glen Eden Community House
