Showcasing Sustainability in the North Otago Community

Saturday 4th April 2009 & Sunday 5th April 2009

North Otago is brimming with people dedicated to making the transition from high energy to low energy lifestyles. They are actively preparing for the effects of climate change and the onset of the time when it will be harder to afford readily available oil and its by-products.

On the weekend of 4th and 5th of April 2009 the Natural Heritage Society and our Transition Town Project are presenting a weekend of events showcasing sustainability in North Otago. The weekend includes workshops, a visit to a self sustainable farm, talks and presentations on water harvesting, permaculture and more ... and incorporates joining in the celebrations at Totara Estate's Harvest Home Festival.

Each day is organised as a field trip, and includes transport between venues.
