Delhi Village Open Day

Delhi Village is a co-housing project, a chance to live in a village atmosphere close to friends. The aim is to create a community that is more environmentally sustainable and with enough freedom to pursue this goal in your own way.

This open day is an opportunity to meet with the group that is developing this exciting green initiative and to view the property to see the potential.

Gardening Discussion Evening

This month we are planning a discussion on gardening, we'd love you to
bring along your ideas and handy tips on what to grow, organic weed
and pest control, etc etc

Winters a good time to plan next year's garden, so come along and join us.

To start the discusion off Lisa Talbot will show pictures and talk
about her garden and how it has developed.  Graham and Lyn Pearson
will show some slides and discuss organic methods that local bee
keepers are using to reduce their dependance on chemicals to control
verroa mite.

The Sustainable Whanganui Trust has invited Phil Tate, a Wellington based ambassador for Al Gore's "Climate Project" to speak on the topic "Water and the Warming World".  This event is part of River Week, Phil will speak on Friday 12 Nov, at the Davis Lecture Theatre, Whanganui Museum at 7.30 pm.  Gold coin donation.  Contact Graham Pearson for more details 344-1012 & pearsongandl@clear.net.nz
